Point of view of the art itself 

"Ladies and gentlemen but above all You...Your Grace, grand, sublime, magnificent, highest ruler of this kingdom. You ask if I am being sarcastic? Oh, but most immense Ruler, I would never allow myself. I would be a fool! Perhaps you would like to grant me the honor of dancing together? Ha-ha-ha, have I gone too far again? No, no, please spare me my head, Your Grace.  I am here for you and you alone. As your court jester, it will be my immense pleasure to entertain you."

I begin my pompous narration, in a light tone and exaggerated gestures, and they laugh. They laugh at my antics, at my over-the-top behavior, not realizing that I am revealing the secrets of the filthy society that protects them. I look at these proud faces, so self-assured about their privileges, and wonder if they will ever understand the world around them. I, too, have a privilege: the ability to look beyond the masks of wealth and power and see the heartbreaking truth. And that is what I do: I sing the truth to those who are unable to hear.

So while everyone laughs at me, I keep talking. I talk about joy, suffering, hunger, sex. I talk about death. Just in case, sooner or later, someone stops... "Laughing? But how, ladies and gentlemen, does it make you laugh?"
